Welcome to Ara Arawa!

Ijebu Ode is a city located in south-western Nigeria at (6 degree 49'N 3 degree 56'E). With over 100,000 residents it is the second largest city in Ogun State after Abeokuta. In pre-colonial times it was the capital of the Ijebu kingdom. Adjacent to Ijebu Ode are several smaller towns and villages.

They are mostly referred to as "this way to"; some of them include Odo-Agamegi, Ogbo, Italupe (a neighbourhood within Ijebu Ode), Ososa, Imawen, Odo Ogbun, Apa(Mesan), Okelamuren, Abapawa, Erunwon, Isonyin, Oke-Eri, Imagbon, Isiwo, Odo-lewu, Odo-Arawa, Idowa, Ala and Atiba amongst others (Wikipedia).

Lupe day was held at the beautiful waterfront community of Cory Lake in Tampa, FL.

In Arawa lupe day held in Raleigh of 2006, we honored Mr. Thomas Adefuye for outstanding service in the community. His various projects in and around the village of Arawa is a source of econonmy for the inhabitants. We encourage the children of Arawa to follow in his footstep.
